Job Overview
The Acquisitions & Investment Analyst is responsible for managing incoming information about potential acquisition and investment opportunities, properly entering them into (and maintaining) the CRM system, and performing various analysis and due diligence tasks. The Acquisitions & Investment Analyst may proactively interact with deal sources, such as brokers and listing and news sites, to stimulate deal flow (including, if applicable, marketing automation) and to respond to incoming communications. In addition to managing deal-specific information, the Acquisitions & Investment Analyst is also responsible for the health and tracking of the deal pipeline overall, including data quality, compliance, KPIs, and reporting.
Activities also include similar items for divestments and dispositions, although not listed here.
Duties & Responsibilities
- Manage critical acquisition and investment opportunity data
- Receive and profile incoming opportunities
- Respond to internal and external requests
- Plan due diligence and assemble relevant information
- Perform analyses, underwriting, and create financial models and projections
- Coordinate data on market performance, competition, and comparables
- Create investment memoranda
- Manage workflows and create and track assignments
- Manage pipeline and CRM data
- Prepare and circulate pipeline reports
- Monitor online and subscription deal sources
- Communicate with deal sources
- Perform document control and data quality functions
Education & Training
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or Commerce.
Knowledge, Skills & Experience
- Strong financial quantitative and analytical skills.
- This is an entrylevel position that will result in career advancement in the field.
- Exposure to underwriting and financial modeling is a plus.
- Demonstrated passion for working with systems and fellow team members.
- Attention to process and detail.
- Excellent written and spoken English skills.
- Focused and productive, with time management and prioritization skills.
